About the event

It's the beginning of the school year, and time to meet with your child's teachers to discuss any accommodations they might need to succeed at school. We'll discuss the difference between an IEP (Individualized Education Plan) and a 504 Plan, the situations for which they work best, the law behind them, your rights as a parent, and more. You'll also get a chance to work on your child's draft plan, next steps, and things you'll need to implement during the school year to help ensure the plan is followed by teaching staff. Taught by a former Ohio public school teacher with lived experience raising a child with Bipolar 1 Disorder.
